Do it...Don't do it!

During this time of being home all day every day, there is certainly no shortage of people offering opinions on what you should and shouldn't be doing. Yes, most people are just trying to help, but sometimes it's a bit too much, especially when it feels like it's coming at you from all angles wherever you turn. I thought I'd share all the gems I have bouncing around in my head right now. And yes, a lot of them are exaggerations- because I think everyone could use a laugh right about now!

- Home school your children. They need and love a routine and schedule, and you absolutely must keep their brain active and not lose the momentum of the school year. Here are approximately 40 million links to online courses and live activities and libraries and amusement park tours. Peruse them and choose which course or activity best suits your individual child/children and then put together a chart with the times of each event to coordinate with your currently scheduled days.

- Don't home school your children. You are not a teacher, and the added stress of trying to home school them could have a negative impact on their well being. A happy parent is a happy child so just get through each day with a smile on your face, no matter what you have to do.

- Get outside. Fresh air helps in so many ways. Being surrounded by nature is never a bad thing. Go for a nature walk, toss around the basketball, go for a hike. Make it family time or do it solo, just get outside and get moving.

- If you so much as look out your window you're risking murdering everyone you know. Close the blinds, lock the doors and sit on your damn couch until there's an ass shaped hole in it.

- Invest all your money right now. Refinance your house. Do everything now while it's all tanking. You'll be glad you did.

- Don't buy a damn thing. It's going to crash. Rates are awful. Buy a pot gold from your local leprechaun.

- Use this time to learn something new. Perhaps a new language or skill. Take up a new hobby and put all this time to good use. Never stop learning and growing. You'll be so proud of yourself once this is over, you lazy moron.

- Don't go crazy trying to improve yourself right now. It's all about getting through each day and staying calm. Don't put too much pressure on yourself or others. There's no need for picking up a new skill or hobby. You're perfect just the way you are.

- Don't panic. This is all temporary and for the greater good. Stay calm and enjoy being home with your family. Soon this will all be a distant memory and life will be better than it ever has with everyone's new outlook, gratitude and perspective on how beautiful life is.

- We are right behind Italy and they're all dead and gone. This is affecting everyone now- age or health doesn't matter. Prepare for the worst. Godspeed.
